For years Richard Lewis has been known for his long slinkynarrow lines. He has even been dubbed ‘ the king of cling.’This season, as well as the sexy tight silhouette he has opted for a more voluminous look reminiscent of Dior’s ‘New Look’
‘Big Skirts’ teamed with opulent wraps in either boucle or padded silk ensure that the wearer is not short on comfort or style.
The volume is controlled and guaranteed to flatterthe female form, rather than add on the inches.Long dinner dresses with pleated skirts, maintain a sleek appearance, because of the fact that they arepleated on one side only.
Subtle colours such as fudge or olive teamed with white give forth an almost sombre aura but with plunging necklines and accentuated waists complimentthe female form without being brash.
For the more adventurous, cobalt blue, shocking pinkjade green, offer an east alternative. Dresses, skirts, throws, wraps, have been appliquéd by hand in toning or matching shades
This season Richard has started a renaissance of beading whether it be on sarongs, little tops or luxurious padded wraps it heralds the return to luxury and feminity, without the sacrifice of any animals.
