The Last Show Organised by Jim

Spring 2007 is the last show organised by my partner Jim Greeley.

At one point I thought people came to the show, not for the collection, but to see what kind of crazy, quirky venue Jim would choose. He always surprised us.

This season I decided I wanted a very ‘old world couture show,’ hence the wonderful ‘No 10’ - one can't get more couture than that.

Jim arrived back from his buying trip in Paris with ribbed wool, which reminded me of grosgrain from the fifties; superfine pure silk jersey in jewel colours - the thirties; and long, fur-like knitted throws worn with opera coats - very belle epoque. He always understood what I wanted.

I think he will approve of me wearing a dinner jacket this evening, but what will he think of me wearing it with bright red shoes? I can just see his huge, wonderful smile.
